Fido is a goofy, sweet, lovable and very quick boy despite his short little legs. Fido is thought to be Terrier and Bassett Hound born approx. 4/6/22. Fido and his sister were rescued from a rescue in Texas along with about 40 other dogs. Fido is currently being fostered with his sister. Fido and his sister absolutely love to play and roll around the yard together, and he loves playing catch with tennis balls. Fido came into the fosters home almost being completely potty trained. He only goes potty on a pad in the house if his fosters don’t pick up right away on his ques. Fido also came into his foster home being completely crate trained. Fido is able to stay in his kennel all day while his foster family is at work. Fido isn’t sure about the leash but is figuring it out, and does great on car rides. Fido is a bit scared of anyone bending down to try to grab him and does not know any commands, but he is working on them. Fido also isn’t sure about humans and why we don’t play bite like his sister does, but we are working on manners.
Fido would do great in a house with kids or with other animals. His current foster family has a resident dog. We are not sure how he would do with cats as the foster does not have any cats in their home.
