Hi my name is Teddy and I am a golden retriever Shih Tzu mix. I am about two years old. I came in with all the breeder released dogs in July of this year. When I came in I was very nervous and really shy, and my fur was really matted so they brought me to the groomer and now I’m styling this new look. My foster mom can’t wait to see all my fluffy curls when it grows out. I very much love my humans, I want to be with them all the time. I follow my foster my mom around I’m like her little shadow. I love to sit on the couch with her or in the chair, or just be next to her on the ground in my pet bed. I just love human affection. I could just absorb it all day long 24 seven. I am currently potty trained and I’m still working on the kennel. I will go in the kennel but I’d prefer to be out and about with my humans. My mom puts me in the kennel when she hast to go do errands and I’m doing better at being in the kennel. But I’m very excited when she gets home!! I like to sleep in the bed with my human so that’s where I sleep at night that is my preferred spot. So if I am in my kennel I have to be in my foster mom’s room so that I can watch her and protect her. Did I mention to you all that I just love humans!! I do get afraid of loud noises and all the other dogs in my neighborhood barking. We have a lot of dogs in the neighborhood where I live. I don’t interact with any of them, I just prefer to be by my humans. But my foster mom says we gotta work on on that so I’m trying to be really good about not being so afraid of all the noises. I do not like thunder it makes me very afraid. But if you were to adopt me to be your forever dog, I would love you until the cows come home. I just love to be with my humans and I love the petting, and the scratching, and just all the kisses that I can get. I also give kisses back to you I’m pretty good at that. I do like to go for walks and I’m getting a lot better at walking on the leash, and I do like to ride in the car. But if I ride in the car I want to be as close to my human as possible. I am a very lovable and affectionate dog, so if you’re looking for something like that I am your best choice. I would prefer to be in a home that has lots of human touch, and a fenced backyard. Because when I get afraid of noises I like to run to the door and get in the house. I currently live with a 4 1/2 pound Chihuahua, and he is the king and the alpha, and I’m OK with that. I leave him alone and he leaves me alone. I really don’t have a lot lot of interest in other dogs. I just like to be with humans. So if you’re looking for a couch potato low-key dog I will be your best friend forever. 

Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, prepaid microchip, dewormed, dental, Rabies vaccine, DAPP vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX , flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $625.00

We are 100% volunteer based, so on occasion it could take more than the standard 24 hours.
