Up until joining NDLB my life has not been one of you're average dog.. I'm just starting to learn and enjoy what a real dog's life is about and I love it (bones, toys, and snuggling)! I have picked up on this whole being around humans thing quickly too and once I'm comfortable with them,  I can even snuggle up on their lap and sleep!  My foster parents say I'm a quick learner as I have mastered stairs, doorways, human contact wearing a leash and LOVE LOVE LOVE the resident dog in the foster home (12 lb yorkie-mix) and I am basically his shadow learning the ropes.  I'm also learning the kennel is ok..you get a fluffy bed, blankets, treats and toys in there...who knew?!? I may whine after going in there initially, but usually settle down after a few minutes...I can stay in my kennel during the day while my foster parents are at work...also I can even be left in there with a little food and don't usually make a mess! That being said, I will need a patient home that will need to be able to continue my potty training with which I'm making strides each day...again my foster mom says I'm a smart girl who will figure it out just fine with a consistent schedule and lots of love and praise. I'm also learning quickly what a leash is and am ok with it at this time and it doesn't bother me much. My foster mom says once i get that down I'll be a great walking buddy! She says I'm sooo brave in all I do...whatever that means.
