Hi! I’m Barbara, but my foster mom calls me Babs! I’m approx. 2 years old and I arrived in MN from Missouri on 07/17! I was in the big breeder release group, having said goodbye to my last litter recently. As a new empty-nester, I’m looking forward to making new friends, especially the furry kind! My foster siblings include two kitties and a 3-year-old tiny human. The kitties are introverts, and the toddler is well… not. That one’s definitely an extrovert! But she and her friends are fun! They took me for my first princess picnic on Lake Superior and said I did amazing! I was patient and didn’t even ask for food – there was so much to look at! I was just happy to lay on the comfy blankets and be near the tiny humans. I’m working on walking on a leash, but I truly like to run! I have a lot of energy! I listen well when we meet other puppies on our walks – being especially good to stay near my foster mom. I really love laying by her feet at home the most and look forward to getting to snuggle! My only gripe is she doesn’t let me snack on tasty shoes… but the bones she finds for me instead are yummy too! I’m a bit slow to warm up to men, but with time and bribery I learn to trust foster dad a bit more every day. Apparently, he’s a cat guy, but I’m supposed to like him anyway… Smh. Foster mom says I’m doing great in my crate, am making progress on potty training (especially with treats!) and she was super proud when I learned how to go up & down the stairs. I’m still figuring things out, like how to play, that I don’t need to be scared and that my toys won’t disappear but am settling in well. Speaking of toys, stuffies and bones are my favorite! Stuffies are great for cuddling and bones are extra yummy. Foster mom says I’m extra cute when I give my little nose boops in acknowledgement. They’re her favorite and she says I’m the sweetest! Mostly I like to be her shadow. Maybe I can be your shadow too?
