Hello future furever home! I'm Yoda, an 8 year old Wheaten Terrier weighing only 35 lbs.

I won't check your pedigree, your bank account or your credit score. I'm only interested in checking out one thing about you: It's the size of your heart and if there's room for me, then it's just the right size for me. If I was on a dating app my catch line would say "If you love being outside or inside watching a movie. We could be best friends. "Lots of people around here say I’m very sweet, loving and handsome." What can I say it’s true.

 

I'm no puppy. but I am 8 yrs young and a very loyal. Despite a less-than-ideal start in life, I'm a little shy as I haven't had much interaction with human contact. I'm learning to trust humans more with encouragement from my foster family and resident dogs. I'm now at the stage were I will come up to you to be pet. One thing you should know about me is that I have no teeth, so a soft food diet is preferred. I'm working on being house-trained and I have been improving each day. I sometimes have accidents in the house as I'm not used to being inside. I love sleeping/napping on a dog bed next to you, but have mastered being in the kennel. I'm also leash trained and love going for walks. I'm a quiet older man as my foster family hasn't heard me bark. With my quiet nature, I don't care for loud noises and seek to be comforted. A quieter household would be best for me. 

 

I have flourished in my foster home which consists of 2 resident dogs and a cat. We all get along like kibbles n bits, but sometimes I do like to chase the cat. I haven't met any children yet and if you have kids in your home older children who understand my trauma would be a better fit for me. I'm leash trained and love going for walks. I'm not food aggressive as I love sharing my food and treats with the other dogs.

 

My furever home needs to understand the trauma I went through and be patient with me trusting you. I will be your best friend, your sidekick, and your confident. Adopt me and let's live a happy life together.
