Hi everyone! I'm Ellery,  a golden doodle born approx 3/24/22! I came to NDLB from a breeder release with all my sweet siblings. I’m currently living with my foster family and their silly husky, Zoe.

So about me and my routine:  First thing in the morning, I like to go outside for potty and a short walk. This summer I’ve mostly enjoyed being outside— either going on walks or in the backyard playing and napping with my foster sister Zoe. She has taught me to lose my fear of people and the outdoors. Initially, when I first arrived, I was scared of coming out of my kennel and would cry through the night— my foster family was patient with me and upon introducing me to Zoe (husky) I started to gain confidence. I started copying Zoe and learned how to play, go out for walks and chase squirrels (well, I just chase Zoe while she chases the squirrels! I really don’t care about squirrels as much as she does.) Anyway, back to ME! My foster family is currently teaching me to follow basic commands and training me on leash walking. Some of my favorite things to do are to spend time with my family, play and nap. I will go crazy for you when you arrive home (even if you only left to get something from the car) I will make sure you know how happy I am to see you’re back! I’m fine with being alone for a short while but will start missing you as time progresses. I have the ability to sleep through the night in my kennel without any crying but do need to be let out of my kennel first thing in the morning so I can potty or else I will start whining and barking.     During the day I hang out around the house and randomly pause to nap. Did I mention how I love naps?! It’s my favorite thing to do! Another silly thing I do is I will follow you around everywhere unless there’s another dog, I’ll let them lead while I follow. I’m laid back, love cuddles and have a lot energy (after a Power Nap) to play with a human or pup like me! My only con is that I get a little emotional when play time is up. I would like to find my forever home with loving family that is patient, playful and loving. I’m still a puppy learning many new things as I go! I can’t wait to meet my furever family!
