Meet Tatum! (Or Tater Tot. Or Po-tatum Chip) Tatum is a lovely Golden Doodle puppy born approx. 3/24/22 who has been happy to be in a foster home, but is ready for a forever family! The progress she has made while in foster care is impressive! She’s been able to learn how to go up the stairs, but is still hesitant on going down. She understands that it’s time to head outside when I’m holding her leash. She sleeps through the night without crying or barking. She reliably takes care of business each time we go outside, though she still has little piddle accidents when she gets excited or startled (as any puppy her age would). She LOVES our resident dog and would do well in a house with another dog. In fact, she seems bored outside if our resident dog isn’t with her. Leash training is coming along. She walks well on the leash when she WANTS to walk, but really digs her heels in if she’s not interested. She’s very calm on car rides, she simply lies down and rests. She hasn’t been on a walk outside of our property yet, but when she is brought to another place or other people see her, they are impressed by how calm she is. We have young teens in our house and she LOVES them. I haven’t seen her around cats or small kids, but she has been a dream around anyone she’s met. She’s got all the behaviors of a normal puppy her age that must take patience and training to mold into good manners (jumping, chewing things, mouthing people’s hands, etc.), but if you love puppies, Tatum is as good as they come! Whoever takes her home forever will be one lucky family
