Adler is an approximately shiba inu puppy born approx. 9/29/21. He is a breeder release puppy, meaning that he has not had as many “typical” puppy experiences. He is friendly with humans, kids, cats, and other dogs, though he is a bit standoffish in the beginning. After he warms up, he is super affectionate. He loves to give kisses, and to be held like a lap dog. He loves pets on his head and under his chin.
He does very well in the crate, only having had a couple of potty accidents. He will whine a bit initially when put in, especially if other people and dogs are out, but settles in well at night time.
He is a curious dog that loves to explore and look around. We are working on potty training - he does pretty well with peeing, but pooping is less consistent.
He is unfamiliar with leash walking and we are still working on that. As a shiba, he does not like being told what to do (including where to go!).
He is slowing learning about dog toys, and happily played tug of with our kids and resident dog.
His tail seems to be missing a few inches on the end, but due to his unknown history we do not know why. It is fully healed and does not seem to affect him. He'd love to meet you!
