Hi! I’m Penelope- a 2 year old Heeler mix. I recently found myself needing a new place to crash, I promise I’m an easy housemate! I’m quiet and clean, and leave your things exactly where you put them! I go nicely into my kennel when you tell me too, but I’m so good outside of it, sometimes my foster mom lets me stay loose while she’s gone. I wait until she comes back to let me outside before I go to bathroom.
I live with kids and cats and other dogs in my foster home, but my foster mom thinks I’d do better with calmer, more respectful, or smaller dogs. I don’t really want to play with them, I’m more of a people dog. I like to rest in my kennel or lay outside in the sun while my foster siblings play rough.
I really like my human sibling though! I don’t rough house with him either, but he throws tennis balls for me, which is my favorite!! I’m not very interested in any other toys. I also enjoy long walks where I can sniff everything- I walk very politely on my leash, and once I trust you I could probably visit off leash trails too! Id make a good adventure dog, I ride so well in the car and wait quietly if you have to get out for a little bit.
 I’d really be happy doing whatever you’re doing and just being close to you. I wouldn’t mind napping and hanging out on the couch next to you, but I am a Heeler, so we couldn’t do that ALL of the time…
The world is still kind of scary for me, especially with all of these changes recently. I’m looking for a patient roommate who has time to spend helping me become more confident with new things! If that sounds like you- I’d love to meet you! I promise not to lick TOO much!

Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, prepaid microchip, dewormed, dental, Rabies vaccine, DAPP vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX , flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $425.00

We are 100% volunteer based, so on occasion it could take more than the standard 24 hours.
