Loren is a 4-year-old Havanese who is ready to meet his forever family! He came to his foster home without much trust in people after spending his life so far as a breeder so is still coming to terms with the fact that he's safe and cared for. As such, he's still quite shy and skittish, but every single day he's more and more friendly with people. He's willing to come up and take a treat from you if you're offering (thank you very much) and you might also feel a wet nose boop against your hand and get a couple of licks while you're minding your own business.

 

Loren is still coming out of his shell, but he's sweet and gentle and with patience he's sure to blossom. He's already great at sleeping quietly in his crate through the night, and though it's early days he's getting used to wearing a leash. Potty training may take some time, but he's learning to take care of business outside and leaves his crate mess free!

 

Even though he startles at sudden human movements, Loren does great around other small dogs and is happy to lie near or play with them. He loves enticing his foster brother to play and is partial to soft toys (and stealing people clothes to snuggle with). He's not sure how to chase a ball yet but is interested in figuring it out. We don't know how he is around cats or children but we don't anticipate any issues there.
