Hi my name is Anya and I am a  Miniature  Australian Shepherd estimated to be about 5 years old. I am tricolor and have beautiful light blue eyes.  I was released from my breeder in September and the only life I have ever known is being a mom.  On 11/22/22, I gave birth to my final litter of puppies in my foster home.  I just finished raising my seven adorable babies and now I am learning to enjoy being a family pet!  If you've seen the Las Vegas Casino Litter, those are my babies! There are three other dogs in my foster home and although I don't play with them, I enjoy their company and following their lead.   I would enjoy living with other dogs, but people really are my favorite, so I could be okay as the only dog.  I'm really enjoying laying on the couch and getting all the pets and belly rubs.  I love being outside, even in the winter and in the snow or rain!  I am doing great with my house training and have only had a couple accidents in the last few weeks. I do well in my kennel when my foster family is at work, but I prefer not to sleep in my kennel at night when they are home if I have a choice.  I do great and sleep nicely out of my kennel.  I do well in the car and walk well on a leash.  I am really food motivated and have been learning my name, to sit, stay and come.   I love bones!  I collect them and carry them around with me, chew them and bring them to my babies! Toys that squeak though are super scary!  I haven't lived with kids, but I have seen many kids visit my babies and I do just fine with them.  I have not been around cats, but I do like to chase bunnies and squirrels in the yard, so those might be fun to chase too?  I'm a herding dog and as a result, not always the best with cats or really young children.  For my breed though, I'm not as high energy as most and prefer to lay around and keep eyes  on my people.  I do like to protect the house though and I'll bark if I'm left out or if I hear something that I think I should alert you about.  So, what do you say?  Are you the one that wants to teach me love and give me a great relaxing retirement home?  If you are, I promise I'll give you all the snuggles and butt wags you can  handle!
