Hi! I’m Paco, otherwise known as Paco Taco! I’m a little guy (10 lbs) 9 year old guy with a lot of love to give. I am very low key dude. I love to cuddle with my humans and give kisses!! I get along with other dogs as I came from a home with two other pups where we were left behind after an eviction….but I don’t let that bother me and I love people despite this. I like my space from other dogs at first and will let them know by giving a “tough guy” growl or two to let them know I mean business, but it mostly for show to teach them my boundaries. Now that I have settled into my foster home I am letting the other dogs there get closer to me and have even given them kisses a few times. I am very good on a leash and basically stay with my foster mom and dad wherever they go so I stick close by – therefore no fenced yard necessary. Despite occasionally telling my fellow pups where my boundaries are, I do not exhibit the same behaviors with my humans. I love them and I want them to cuddle me!!! The minute they sit down I’m at their feet waiting to cuddle on their lap. At night I like to cuddle too. I even will burrow under the blankets in my foster parent’s bed and snuggle all night uninterrupted. I am very open to meeting new people especially if they have treats or want to snuggle/hold me. Being as I am so small a home without small children or big dogs would be best. My crate training is coming along well. At first I needed to be put in there but now I can be coaxed by saying “kennel up” with a yummy treat and sometimes meals, YUMMY! My foster mom thinks eventually I will go in on my own without a treat since I’m doing such a good job at it…but hey who wants to break a great tradition. I like the bed and blanket in there and I can rest comfortably in there while my foster parents are at work without accidents now that I got the hang of it. I make hardly any fuss when being put in my kennel but I can get really excited when being let out. It’s like a little song of my people I like to sing to my foster parents to let them know I’m excited to see them again but I settle down once I’m out. My foster mom said it’s like a yodel…whatever that is…but it doesn’t last long at all. I’m not much of a barker so far I do whine when I want to go out or be fed. My foster mom says that’s great so I could live in an apartment of townhome if I found my people there. My potty training is going well on a routine/schedule but will need patience and understanding as this process continues. My foster mom says “Paco you have so much love to give, anyone would be lucky to have you”…and I agree.
