Tubbs is just the best. He is a lab mix born 7/11/22. He is the best cuddler, so snuggly and sweet and just melts in my arms. Sometimes I even hold him like a baby and he doesn’t mind a bit, just stares at me with his big puppy eyes or snoozes away. He is also super duper smart! He was basically potty trained by the second day he was here. He can hold it through the night over nine hours with no accidents! He sleeps with his sister Tootie in a gated bathroom. He spends most of his time with her, they like to cuddle, play with toys, wrestle and chase each other outside. He has been left alone when I take his sister and the resident dog on a walk. Sometimes he will sleep, sometimes he will bark a bit, he has also stayed outside on a tie out with my son and done well, sniffing and watching the boys play. We go on a lot of walks and Tubbs does very well on a leash for a pup. He follows basic direction when I call him, he definitely likes to sniff and follow his nose but when we need to get moving he will come when called. He is still getting used to new surroundings and is a bit timid when meeting new people, seeing animals and new things like cars, bikes, tractors; but he is very inquisitive and quick to warm up, he’s a loving guy and especially so with positive reinforcement and praise. He likes other dogs, wants to play, and gets along well with the resident dog. The resident dog is much smaller than him but he plays very gentle and even seems a bit protective of him when out on walks, it’s just the sweetest and such a nice quality to have. Tubbs definitely loves his people, he seems like an old soul, so full of love, while also on the watch  He is the first pup to check on a sound or see what we’re up to, he’s all smiles and wiggly butt, such a joy to have around. We’ve gone on a few car rides, roughly a half hour each time. He cuddles with Tootie and sleeps, he’s a very calm guy. I really am blown away with how smart he is, he has amazing potential and is the biggest delight. He is a total sweetheart and will be an amazing best friend!
