Hi, I’m Napoleon, “Leon,” a handsome little Lab mix born approx. 8/14/22. 

I slipped on the ice on Christmas and broke my leg, resulting in a hind leg amputation. I’m all healed up and it has hardly slowed me down. I can go up and down 5-6 carpeted stairs, but often need to be carried the rest of the way while I continue to grow my confidence.

I don’t mind my kennel for the most part, I sleep in it overnight. I will usually gripe about it for a few minutes but then I snuggle in, kick up my feet and snooze.

I enjoy snuggling my stuffed animals, chasing bouncing balls and I LOVE sticks. I love crunching them and carrying them into the house after my potty breaks.

I’m pretty good on a leash- I don’t pull or seem phased by other dogs, even the dogs that are lunging and begging for my attention. 

I know some basic commands like “sit,” “lay down,” “wait,” “kennel up,” and “leave it.” I’m working on “stay” and “down.” Even with 3 legs, I still love jumping all over the place! I have no problems keeping up on walks or playing with my foster family outside. I’m also potty trained and will start sniffing around the patio door and pawing at it when I need to go out. 

I’m a sweet and curious little guy with a lot of love to give! I do well with young children, I love giving them kisses constantly. I play well with other dogs too! I would be a wonderful addition to an active home!
