Vixen is a beagle / Basset mix puppy born 11/6/22.  She has the short legs and wider body of a basset as compared to some of her siblings.  Vixen is a cuddler when she runs out of her puppy energy.  She tries to do everything to keep up with her longer legged sibling.  She tries to go up stairs but has not figured it out yet as she is still too little.  Acts like a typical puppy with lots of energy, puppy teeth and exploring mixed with sudden nap time.   She and her sister are kenneled together at night and when humans are away and do well, occasional whining during the night but she is able to self-comfort and fall back asleep.   She seems to be more of the follower however she can hold her own when wrestling.  She is good being around the large resident dogs and loves attention she receives from everyone, adults and kids (no experience with cats).  She eats super well but FAST, so would benefit from a slow feed bowl.   She is working on potty training however is young.  She will do her business outside when taken out however doesn’t know to ask when she need to go.  She likes to chew on bones (we use Benebones), likes stuffed animals and LOVES her lick mat with peanut butter.  She is very food motivated. She would be a great addition to any household. 

Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, rabies vaccination if age appropriate, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Distemper combo vaccines appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, heartworm and flea/tick preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $595.00

We are 100% volunteer based, so on occasion it could take more than the standard 24 hours.
