Hi there, my name is Paris, but foster mom also calls me Peanut because I’m the littlest. My litter was named after Las Vegas Casino’s if you’re curious how I got my name. I was born on 11/22/22 and I am part of a litter of 7 with only one brother! My mom is Anya, a tri-color miniature Australian Shepherd estimated to be about 5 years old with beautiful light blue eyes and weighing about 35 pounds. I am Tricolor like mom, and have blue eyes! We’re not sure what breed dad was, but we don’t look completely aussie, we’re a little curly, maybe some poodle in us!? I’m about 4 pounds at nearly 8 weeks old, so I’ll likely be a little smaller than mom when I grow up! My mom has spent her life as a breeding dog and she was the best mom! Foster mom says, don’t let my petite size fool you, I’m the spicy one. I’m always watching what’s going on and I like to sneak up on my siblings and people and I’m the resident escape artist. I like to play with toys and chase and tackle my littermates. I’m one of the more vocal puppies in the group, but just want to be held and with people. I have started to work on kennel training with a kennel in our puppy pen. We haven’t been able to go outside since it’s so cold and there is so much snow, but foster mom has been grass pad training us in the house since we were 4 weeks old and I am doing really well at that! We’ve also been working on handling skills, by getting our nails clipped and grinded and our hair brushed 1-2 times per week since we were 1 week old! I do not like getting my nails done and I tend to be really wiggly and make lots of noise, but I’m working on it! I have been exposed to many other dogs in our foster home, many adults and kids and I love everyone! We started early neurologic stimulation, so I’ve been exposed to lots of smells, sounds and sights and although sometimes I startle, I get over it quick! I’m a fairly confident puppy, a little shy and am really smart, like aussies usually are! I’m starting to work on my listening skills, by learning my name, come and sit. Since I’m so young, I’m going to need a family that is willing to continue to teach me how to be a good girl and continuing to work on my potty training, obedience training, crate training and leash skills! I have been in the car in my kennel a few times and am learning to be calm. I haven’t met any cats yet but herding dogs like aussies aren’t always the best with cats, but I can probably learn if you are willing to teach me! So, what do you say, are you ready to teach me all the good things about life? If you are, apply today and I’ll promise to be your best gal!
