Xena Or Xena Bean/ Beanie Baby as her fosters like to call her is a 5 year old Chiweenie mix and boy does she love her people. She is 100% princess and likes to be treated as such! 1st thing in the morning she rolls on her back for her morning belly pets and won't eat till she gets them. Xena loves her bed and her blanket. She will even tuck herself into it at night. And when her fosters go to check in on her she is usually completely covered with her blanket. Xena is amazing with all the animals in the house. Her current foster has a 90 lb dog and cats which Xena does not mind being around but does not play with them. She is even good with the Fosters free roam bunny and backyard chickens! Xena is fully house trained but in the cold does love to be carried into the backyard. She currently knows that when her jacket goes on she has to go outside. Xena is also fully kennel trained. She does not know how to go in her kennel but if you put her in there she will stay and be quiet. She however does not need the kennel because she really enjoys her dog bed and stays there all night long along with most of the day if you let her. Xena has been around new people including kids briefly and does well as long as it's not by her bed, food or Kennel. She does a low growl if new people and animals get too close to those things. But if she is petted she calms down. she has not shown any signs she would bite. She just likes people and animals to know that  is her stuff. Xena does ok on a leash if it's her person on the other end, mostly because she is a follower but as soon as someone else takes it she freezes. She has short little legs so long walks are not her thing but she will do them with her person. She stays by people so she is not a runner or explorer. Xena is extremely low energy. She is content sitting next to you on the couch, at your feet while you're working, on your lap or on her bed. She does get excited when you get home or when food or treats are involved. But if you're looking for a lap dog she is your girl! Xena's foster dad works from home so someone is always home with her however she is very content with her spots so she will be just fine left during a work day. She sleeps on her bed in the spare room and is left unattended through the night but is always right where you left her.
