Hi there! I’m Roxie, a young terrier mix about 25 lbs. I’m looking for a new place to crash, and I have a lot of spunk and love to bring with me in exchange! I am nervous around people, but after I know you, as soon as you turn away from me, I’ll be at your heels trying to get your attention again. I’ve been in my foster home for two months and I will snuggle on the couch and now willingly ask for pets. Fast movements sometimes still scare me, especially ones over my head. I do best when I’m allowed to survey the scene at my own pace. I love sleeping in comfy spots, and if that happens to be your spot- well too bad! 

I am friendly with dogs once I know them, and have made fast friends with the mama dog in my foster home. She makes me feel more comfortable when I’m hanging with the people and other dogs. I will play with the other dogs, but there are puppies in my foster home and I do not like them. My foster mom says I’d be happier with one or two older dogs, or no dogs at all. I barked at the cats at first, with time and exposure that did change, and I mostly ignore them now.
 I am potty trained & kennel trained with some whining. I do pretty good left outside of a kennel as well. My foster mom leaves me loose in a puppy proofed room and I like that the best. I don’t mind the kid in my foster home either, but would do better with older respectful kids! I have a good recall and I hate being left in the yard alone- If the other dogs all go inside, I’m going inside too! Overall I’m an easy going girl who needs consistency and patience in order to live my best life! If that sounds like something you can give me, I’d love to meet you! 

Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Rabies vaccine, DAPP vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX , flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $525.00
