“A dog is the only thing on earth that loves you more than he loves himself.” Quote by Josh Billings | ||||

Kaley is shy of two years old and already had a litter of eight. She was a fabulous mom and had enough milk to probably feed another full litter. Since joining our home, she’s been spayed and recovered very well. Kaley is excited by most everything and, if she’s awake, it is play time all the time. She is singularly food motivated and has learned praise is incredible. Kaley would gobble down her food in less than 30 seconds and I’m very happy to report that she’s slowed down some. She absolutely loves to wrestle with Teddy, her Chow older brother, and accepts his grooming sessions with patience. Kaley is crate trained and is immediately calm and quiet until Teddy bounds over to say it’s time to GO! She is learning walking manners, and has been really happy to just be out and about when it’s warm – she’s not a cold weather gal. Kaley seems to be potty trained, but if a cue (a paw to the face) is missed, she will poop without another thought about it. Speaking of that paw, wow! it has ALL her weight in it. Kaley is a lean gal, but her Pitty aka Pibble muscles give her unexpected heft and strength. She absolutely loves to play Queen of the Hill and, again, it is surprising how heavy she is. It is great fun to play with Kaley as she mouths a lot and other behavior I associate with puppy play. She also chews like you’d expect of a Pibble, so she has a smorgasbord of Nyla and other style bones and hard chewer toys. She also loves Teddy’s squeaky toys and, other than the tennis balls, hasn’t destroyed any of them. Speaking of destroying tennis balls, she peels the outer covering piece-by-piece and then chews up the innards and drops the pieces. It’s quite funny, but I’m relieved she isn’t remotely interested in eating anything other than her food or treats. Kaley is truly a Velcro dog. If it’s not wrestling with Teddy or he’s not grooming her, then she is right next to one of us. She sleeps on my bed, which satisfied my desire as Teddy pretty much refused. Kaley is truly a loving and loveable dog who brought joy, fun, and more love to our home. I’m excited to spoil her for the rest of her life, as she deserves.
