Maggie Rae is a breeder release and started out completely frightened of everything and everyone when she came into rescue. She wouldn’t walk without having to be dragged. She was very thin (only 49 lbs).

She is a new dog now. While she is not yet totally comfortable around humans, she does come to greet and be petted/rubbed. She will take treats from human hand. The biggest thing to date is she has been learning to be a dog with my lab and the other foster pups I have been fostering. Maggie will play with all of them.
Maggie Rae is still skittish of loud noises, (slammed doors, vacuum cleaner…etc) and still cautious of new people, but getting better all the time. As Maggie Rae is startled, she will retreat to her crate or favorite corner. We do close the crate during the day to allow her to find other comfortable spaces in the house.
Maggie Rae is not completely potty-trained, but we are very close. She is learning the routine from my dogs. We are using puppy pads for direction and she has been using them instead of rugs or the floor. Maggie Rae is quiet, soft, gentle and very submissive.
Maggie Rae is not used to being on a leash, but getting better and more comfortable with it every day. Maggie Rae went outside for the first time this week with the other dogs and did very well.
At night, we put Maggie Rae in her crate.
Maggie Rae has been vetted and spayed. She had no issues and is recovering nicely for them surgery,
I think she would do best with a home which has another dog, as she is totally trusting and very
comfortable with my other dogs. She'd love to meet you!

Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Rabies vaccine, DAPP vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX , flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $650.00
