Hi, I’m S’mores! I also respond to Macy. I am a female Sheltie born in February 2018 weighing about 20 pounds. NDLB rescued me from a life of breeding and I’m so happy to be officially retired! My life before rescue wasn’t great and I’m still learning that I’m safe. I will need lots of patience because it takes me a while to warm up. I really like getting belly rubs, laying on the couch, chewing on bones, rolling in the dirt, and eating popcorn. Popcorn is my all time favorite snack!! I am kennel trained and sleep in my kennel at night. Potty training is a work in progress. I am potty trained on a schedule but I will likely have an accident inside if you aren’t watching me - I don’t know how to ask to go outside yet. I get along with dogs and currently live with a 70lb fur brother. He has taught me so many things.. like how to beg for treats, play with the ball, and bark at the mailman. Dogs help me feel comfortable and my furever home needs to have a well-adjusted pup for me to befriend. I have met several kitties and got along with them all. My foster mom thinks I would do best in a home without young kiddos because I am nervous of loud noises and sudden movements. Because I can be easily startled, I will also need to go to a home with a fully fenced and secured yard. Other than the occasional zoomie, I am very chill. I was adopted for a year and returned to rescue because I was still very timid. I’m a really sweet girl and I promise you’ll fall in love with me, I just need patience. Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, dental, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Rabies vaccine, DAPP vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX , flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $550.00

We are 100% volunteer based, so on occasion it could take more than the standard 24 hours.
