Aleko is a 3 year old/57 lb. female German Shepherd and she is sweet as can be. She is great with every person and dog she meets and gets along with every one. No matter who you are she comes up with a wagging tail and a couple of kisses. Aleko recently moved to Minnesota from a foster in Kentucky and so far the biggest thing is has learned is that she LOVES the snow. Her favorite place to be right now is outside, either playing with her foster brother or just sitting on the back porch enjoying the weather. Currently her energy level is somewhat high and she needs a good amount of play or walk time each day which is not unusual for a dog of this breed. However, her health has also improved substantially during her time in the rescue so some of her current energy is likely just excitement that she is feeling so good. With some time to settle into her home and routine she will be an easy keeper. 

Aleko is fully potty trained and is beginning to learn how to ring bells by the door when she wants to go outside. She is fully crate trained and often seeks out her crate when she wants some quiet time to herself for taking a nap. When walking on a leash Aleko is careful not to pull, however, she still has a lot to learn about the rest of the rules for walking politely. She is also not trained for basic commands such as sit or down, but it is clear she is a really fast learner so I am confident she'll get them figured out any day! 

All around, this is a dream dog, she lives every day loving her life, happy to do whatever you have planned. She is easy to live with. Respectful of commands. Overall an absolutely wonderful dog. 

Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Rabies vaccine, DAPP vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX , flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $525.00

We are 100% volunteer based, so on occasion it could take more than the standard 24 hours.
