Fennel is slightly smaller and fluffier than his siblings but not short on personality. He was born approx. 1/21/23. He is very adventurous and frequently does not look back for human support. Fennel is generally calm, craves human contact and loves to romp around with a soccer ball. Quick to learn potty training, Fennel has occasional accidents but given his age they are still appropriate. He retreats to his crate if he is over stimulated, needs to rest and for overnight. Fennel prefers to be dominate and is very hesitant to back down when challenged or redirected. These behaviors may make him difficult to train. While Fennel has been around kids, cats and other dogs both big and small, his aggressive stance toward life may cause him to be best suited for a home with elementary aged children and older. A home with already established hierarchy in pets or a home without other pets may best suit Fennel. Currently Fennel prefers to walk his humans on a leash as opposed to the opposite, but he is still learning. Fennel does NOT like his feet cleaned, nails clipped or to be held in a restrictive way. He actually will lash out toward the face of said human in response. His foster provider is working on redirecting this behavior and providing multiple positive experiences with holding and paw touching to retrain his brain. He wants to please and is very food (and cheese) motivated. Fennel loves a good snuggle and hopes to find his forever soon!

Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, rabies vaccination if age appropriate, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Distemper combo vaccines appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, heartworm and flea/tick preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $595
