This is Kaz (answers to Charlee) - she is a sweet, gentle and VERY unsure little girl who was born approx. 8/8/22. She’s tall and lean - looks like a tall deer, her legs are so long!!
She is figuring out how to play, any loud noises or fast movements scare her but she doesn’t cower for long. She tries so hard to be brave and investigate if it’s safe but she NEEDS PATIENCE. In the 3 1/2 months she's been in her foster home, she's become a completely different dog - she just started jumping up on bed with foster at bed time after 3 1/2 months of being in the foster home - she needs time to TRUST YOU. Foster home has 3 busy boys ages 3, 6, and 9 - has 3 resident cats and 2 resident German shepherds. She loves being a guard dog with her foster dog siblings. She’s spunky, learning how to play with toys without destroying them and we love snoozing on the couch. She absolutely loves kids, loves dogs, and respects cats. Best way we’ve gotten close to her is by sitting on the floor at her level and letting her come to us - she's very food motivated. She is fully potty trained on a schedule and crate trained-after 4 months of being in her foster home, she willingly will go into crate with a calm voice and “lets go Charlee” or “bed time Charlee” - She goes in crate at bed time and when left home alone, but needs another dog near her when crated alone, as her anxiety gets the best of her - she will shred bedding when left alone. She would THRIVE with another dog(s) in the home to help with her confidence. When dogs aren’t around she tends to seclude herself more. She is very respectful of cats and learning when to leave alone and mainly just wants to say hi. She is great with kids of all ages but best in a home with older kids who are considerate and willing to realize it’s on her terms and she doesn't like to be chased. Her favorite things are laying outside in the sun and rolling around with a toy either playing with another dog or by herself - also snoozing on ANY comfortable place she can find especially a couch or bed, loves human beds the best. She’s the biggest goof and so loving - not a mean bone in her.
