Hi there! I’m Edward James. I'm around 1-2 years old and 17 lbs. If I had a theme song, it would be “Lovefool” by the Cardigans because I just want you to “Love me, Love me, say that you love me…” I crave human attention and get along with everyone. I would not be a good guard dog. I may act tough for a few seconds, but I give in easily and want all the pets.

I’m great with other dogs and share my toys and treats. The cat doesn’t love me yet, but I’m wearing her down! Food is not a big motivator but I do eat regularly and take meds like a champ especially wrapped in cheese. I had dry skin and had to take baths twice a week. I’m not a fan, but I’ll do anything you ask as long as you show me affection. I like to spend my day curled up next to you or burrowed under a blanket. I’ll even sleep under the blankets all night if you let me!

I have a very thin coat and even with a sweater on, I am a bit of a diva when it comes to snow and cold weather. I prefer to find a cleared spot to potty. If it’s too cold, I would prefer a pee pad inside. I do better with another dog to follow and play with outside. When the weather is warmer though, I like exploring. I do great on a leash and stay at the side of my handler without pulling or dragging.

If I can see you, I will sleep in my kennel overnight, but would prefer if you didn’t leave the house for very long as I’m very attached to my people. Please let me shower you with doggy kisses and show you my excited dance when you enter the room.

Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Rabies vaccine, DAPP vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX , flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $525.00

We are 100% volunteer based, so on occasion it could take more than the standard 24 hours.
