My name is Sausage.  Not sure why they named me that, because I am quite svelte, if I do say so myself.  I’m around 3 years old and 30lbs. I'm part of the Smile crew, who came from a hoarding house in Mexico.  A very well-intentioned person took in a lot of us until it got to be took much to provide for all of us.  Thankfully, some more nice people helped us get to Minnesota...in January. Talk about a climate change.

I really love snuggling with my hoomans and playing with other dogs. However, being we didn't have our own family to train us, I do need to work on being a little less excited and reading other dogs' ques when they have had enough.

I did get to meet a couple cats at my fosters. I tried to be sociable, but they weren't interested, so I left them alone.

I do fine in my kennel if my people are in the room. I do bark some if everyone leaves the room, but do quiet down after a bit.  I've got the potty training figured out.  No accidents in the house, even when mom and dad have a long work day. I'm looking for a family of my own. I'd love to meet you!

Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Rabies vaccine, DAPP vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX , flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $475.00

We are 100% volunteer based, so on occasion it could take more than the standard 24 hours.
