Hi, my name is Willow. I’m a cocker spaniel born 3/26/21. I came to NDLB as a breeder release and was extremely fearful of people and loud or sudden noises. I have been here a few months and have already come such a long way. I am conquering my fears, but I will still need some help and patience from my forever family. I have started to warm up to people and enjoy them more and more, but I am still extremely fearful when around men. I will walk up to females and introduce myself and happily get pets, but will immediately run away and hide if a male approaches me. I still get startled at loud/sudden movements and noises so younger kids may not be best for me, but I do not nip or bite when I am scared. I am crate trained, but my foster mom will let me stay out with the other dogs and I do not get into anything. I am almost fully potty trained now and can go about 8 hours without a potty break.

Under my fear, I am the sweetest girl. I spend most of my time curled up snuggling with my foster mom or with one of my foster siblings. I follow the big dogs everywhere and do exactly what they do and they have helped me start to learn how to be a dog. I’ve even started rough housing with them and am enjoying learning how to play! I would love another dog in my forever family to show me the ropes. I can’t wait to meet my family and show them how much love I have to give!
