Mr. Yoshi is a very sweet, funny little dude with a flare for the dramatic and a stubborn streak that you can’t help but fall in love with. This mini Ewok was born in December 2019 and spent the first three years of his life living as a breeder dog. He is surprisingly good with people. He loves attention, especially belly rubs but will put himself in his crate if he gets overwhelmed or startled, it is definitely his safe space.

He is working on potty training and it is going pretty well on a schedule. There was some marking at first but no accidents inside since his neuter. I would not call him an outdoors enthusiast but he likes walking around and following a smell on the warmer days although he HATES any type of water falling from the sky. He is working on learning to walk on a leash but he isn’t big enough to pull you around anyways and likes to call shotgun in the car.

While definitely picky in his food and treat preferences when he finds something he likes he is a voracious eater and a truly masterful beggar. I mean who could say no to that grumpy little old man face? I wish I had as much passion for anything as he does for a pup cup.

He has done great with his resident brothers and sister although it is clear he favors other small dogs over the big ones to play with. He does well to signal them with a small growl when he needs his space and takes their signals back just as well. We have not been around cats, I don’t anticipate a problem although he can be a little spunky at times. We are still learning what toys are but he loves to chew on dental chews even if he doesn’t have much in the way of front teeth (which is very common in shih tzus and other small breeds).

He has been sleeping in his crate at night but if you try to cuddle with him in the bed don’t be surprised if he decides to lay on your face, it’s a little weird but very sweet as long as you watch out for his nails.

Due to some unfortunate circumstances he is shaved pretty short right now, but it doesn’t take away from his cuteness and he uses it to his advantage as he looks up at you pathetically and mewls before flipping on his back for some scratches. I haven’t really heard him bark just whine a bit especially when waiting for food.

He is definitely a little guy with a big personality and he would love to meet you…even if his face says otherwise. He is going to make some special family very happy, is it you?

Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, dental, hernia repair, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Rabies vaccine, DAPP vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX , flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $650.00
