Mame is delightful, sweet and loyal with some chihuahua anxiety thrown in. She is dog aggressive, and can be incredibly protective of her humans to a fault. When she is comfortable and confident, she gets the zippie zoomies. She still has occasional accidents inside. She walks wonderfully on a leash, but becomes aggressive with the presence of other dogs. Mame is kind and gentle with kids from ages 2 to 20. She rides well in the car out of a crate with a secured harness. However, in a crate at home or in the car Mame will aggressively tear up any bedding, trays or toys. She does best in bed with her humans over night. Due to the foster’s situation, Mame has never been left alone. It is still unknown with her anxiety how she will behave when left alone. Trust is key to helping Mame manage her anxiety. Water from the hose, faucet or rain is a true fear for her. She is also very afraid of humans carrying sticks or similar. No baseball, lacrosse or hockey games for this gal…

Mame absolutely refuses to eat plain old dry food. We mix a bit of water and some canned food in and she greatly enjoys it. Mame is currently being treated for a skin condition.

Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate),  Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age , Bordetella vaccine, 4DX , flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $525.00
