Meet the voluptuous Whitney! Lovingly referred to as Whit Whit, Whitiffer, and chunky butt. Whitney is the type of dog who aggressively cuddles, digging her head into your chest and neck to make sure she gets all the lovin’. She's huge into scratches of all kinds, including on that cute belly of hers, and she gives out kisses pretty willingly. She is friendly with dogs of all sizes but does take a day or so to warm up before initiating play, same goes with cats. The first few days she was here she was kind of grumpy here and there with my animals, wagging her tail but growling at the same time, so I would suggest slow intros and monitoring for the first few days to make sure there aren't any kerfuffles. She doesn't resource guard toys but initially she was a little snippy when food of any sort was around, but that has seemed to get better. I have continued to feed her in her crate just in case. She hasn't expressed an attitude with human food after the first few days so she probably just needs a little extra time to get used to everyone before she is comfortable enough to realize that she doesn't need to be spicy with anyone, she will still get her food. I do not have kids but I believe in her previous home there were kids and she did fine with them. She is a little mouthy though and we are working on correcting that, as well as jumping up. She loves a good cuddle session of course and also likes just laying on the floor chewing on a bone. She walks pretty well on a leash and has gotten used to our tie out cable pretty quickly, but sometimes in order to make sure she goes I do have to supervise her while she's outside. She has had a few accidents inside, I think it's mostly just from adjusting to her new environment, which is absolutely normal. She has no issue being in the crate. She stays pretty quiet and hasn't had any accidents. She sleeps there overnight and doesn't make a peep. She's a really silly girl who gets the Zumiez and likes to play bow at the other animals in the home, but sometimes I do have to pull her away from the cat because she just really gets into playing with them but she plays a little too rough. She doesn't really bark fully, it's more of a little huff but when she does give a real bark it is pretty loud and sounds kind of like a howl. I don't believe she would have issues being in a home with shared walls, she's definitely not much of a barker here so far. Overall, Whitney is a great dog who has a lot of love to give and I believe she would do well in a variety of different homes!
