Leah is a 5yo chihuahua mix dog weighing in at 5.2 lbs. After a week, she is confidently venturing around the house and yard and taking in all these new sights and smells. She is not a barker but does more of a howl when hearing unexpected noises or the occasional neighborhood dog barking. She is not potty trained but does fine going outside on a schedule. She knows no commands such as sit or shake but that doesn’t mean she’s without manners. She wants to please and waits for clues from us before she eats, before going outside or before getting on the couch. She’s a good eater and so far isn’t interested in any treats. She does well on walks and riding in the car. She’s a cuddler who loves nothing better than to curl up on a lap and give you kisses. When sleeping or taking a nap, have a blanket ready for her to crawl under, that’s her safe place.  Leah is a wonderful dog who is looking for a family who will love and keep her safe. 

Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, dental, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $125.00

We are 100% volunteer based, so on occasion it could take more than the standard 24 hours.
