Hola, me llamo Krinkle… whoops, sorry about that, English is my second language, let’s try that again. Hi my name is Krinkle and I made the long trip up from Tijuana, Mexico in August. We don’t know much about my first two years of life but whatever I went through hasn’t dampened my optimistic spirit! I am the sweetest boy you will come across and I love just about everyone and everything. I love my foster family, my foster brothers both big and small (dogs), giving kisses, snuggling, tussling, toys, playing, zoomies, chewing on treats, sleeping with you on the bed, begging, and most of all I LOVE attention! Sometimes it takes me a few minutes to warm up to new people, but I have never met a dog I didn’t want to befriend. 

I am a peppy little dude with black/brown fur with a little white patch on my chin and chest. I may be small, but I am all legs and have the cutest curly tail. I am told I can be dramatic at times but overall I am pretty even tempered. I do bark and whine for a while when I'm crated, but eventually calm down, and I tend to get over-excited at the prospect of going outside and can do some barking and scratching at the door if you aren’t moving fast enough. It is a work in progress. My biggest duty is to protect the world from squirrels and rabbits. I will bark and chase them to let them know who is boss. My mom says I have some puppy energy, but I also know how to relax and curl up with you to watch TV or play on the computer. I would be a counter surfer, but I can’t quite reach it. What can I say, I am an opportunist. 

I could use some basic training, but I am eager to please and treat-motivated so that should help, even if I am not the brightest bulb out there. I pull on a leash, but I am not very strong so it hasn’t proved to be a problem in my current home. I do like to destroy my toys sometimes, especially the ones that squeak but I have not ruined anything that wasn’t mine. I ride really well in the car as long as I am buckled in, otherwise I might try and help you drive, and I think I finally got the hang of this potty training thing, and am not having accidents in the house when let out on a schedule. I have been known to mark when other unfamiliar dogs are around, but even that is improving.

I do come with one little quirk, my heart is just so full of love that it sometimes beats out of rhythm. I saw a specialist for this and they said there isn’t anything to worry about, and that I am just fine but I thought it was something I should disclose. You would never know anything was different from looking at and interacting with me, and it doesn’t affect my peppy, upbeat personality at all!

What am I looking for in a home? Well ideally, my new home would have a buddy for me to play with, but it is not required as long as you are willing to play with me instead. I would also love a yard where I can get my zoomies out. Oh and don’t forget the treats! 

I would love to meet you and I promise to give kisses on our first date!

Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $525.00

We are 100% volunteer based, so on occasion it could take more than the standard 24 hours.
