Wilbur is a 3 year old terrier mix weighing about 15 pounds. This cutie made his way to Minnesota via Kentucky. Wilbur has a unique build; he has a long lanky body and short legs with a curly tail. We often get lost in his big, round, beautiful brown eyes. 

Wilbur is a total love bug. He is a very calm and chill guy. Wilbur LOVES toys. You will often find him carrying one around in his mouth. He especially loves tennis balls and toys that squeak. Wilbur has his own version of fetch where he likes you to throw his toy and he’ll bring it back to you and sit in your lap. Wilbur is currently living with two other small dogs but he mostly plays by himself. 

Wilbur is a friendly dog who does not mind other dogs but he does mostly keep to himself. He enjoys going on walks with his foster mom and her shih tzu mix but equally loves coming home to curl up on the couch or bed. He has not met any cats but would likely not pay much attention to them. 

Wilbur has been friendly to all people he has met and has been gentle around children. Wilbur does not know basic commands but he is a very well behaved dog. He is completely house trained and has had no accidents in the house. Wilbur is a barker and will bark at unusual noises or dogs walking by in the yard but he is easily redirected by his foster mom. Wilbur does well on a leash and likes to stay by your side. Wilbur likely was not kennel trained before coming to rescue and is only in his crate when his foster mom has to be out of the house for 2+ hours. He has been sleeping in bed with his foster mom at night and will put himself back to bed after a morning walk. Wilbur does not hate the crate but does love when you let him out. He rides peacefully in the car. 

This sweet boy is looking for his forever and would do well in just about any home. He loves to snuggle and play and is incredibly well adjusted. Wilbur can’t wait to meet you!

Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $525.00
