Hi, I’m Emory! I’m a poodle/terrier mix born 8/6/22. My human foster sister says that I’m the BEST DOG EVER. Some of the things she likes best are that I never run out of kisses (that is by far my best quality), I know my name and am really good at coming when called, I love to play with bouncy balls and stuffed toys and I do great in my kennel at night at during the day when my humans are gone. I also live with two dogs and a cat. I’ve been getting along great with all three. I especially like playing with the two-year-old basset hound. I’m curious about the cat but learned he does not like my licks, so I don’t really pay attention to him anymore. I do still have some of that puppy energy, but I’m good at occupying myself with toys while my foster mom works and when I get tired, I take a nap by her feet. I LOVE to be near my people. I follow my foster mom everywhere, she doesn’t mind because I’m such an easygoing dog. Because of my personality, my foster mom thinks I would do great around younger kids too.

My foster mom has had a couple of heart-to-heart talks with me about her slippers. They smell so good, but I’m not supposed to chew on them. When I try to sneak them she gives me something else to chew on and I’m just as happy.

Even though I'm a pretty amazing dog, there is always room for improvement. I do like to counter surf and my nose gets the best of me on walks, so I tend to pull a little. I also get super excited when I see a squirrel. A basic obedience class will go a long way to help me learn my manners. I’m also doing good with potty training when I go out on a schedule.
