Abner is a breeder release three-year-old mini poodle weighing about 24 pounds. He has handsome golden brown curls with the cutest red highlights. Abner is a sweet boy but may be a bit shy at first. He loves his head and neck scratched and he would let you do that all day long if you're so inclined.  He recently discovered that he loves to take long walks and play in the back yard with the resident dog.  He may miss you when you’re at work, but he will be so excited to see you upon your return.  He is not a fan of crate training, but we've discovered that playing calming music or a show on the TV helps him when the humans can't be in the room with him.  This includes night time when he's most likely to let the humans know with crying and barking that he's unhappy about being locked in the crate.  Abner is on track to being housebroken and being taken outside frequently helps curb accidents in the house.  Car rides are a breeze though he may be a bit hesitant to get in the car. Once inside the car, he is very well behaved and quietly watches out the windows.  He does very well with cats and other dogs, but hasn’t had much exposure to children.

We are 100% volunteer based, so on occasion it could take more than the standard 24 hours.
