I am Harry, the adorable little ginger poodle puppy born 4/30/23. I am as cute and gorgeous as the former UK Royal Prince I was named after, and come to you as a 12 pound fluffy boy.

What can I tell you about me? I’m all puppy. Silly, funny, klutzy, a little wimpy, and I’m in training on most things. I love my foster brother and follow him like a shadow everywhere. I love toys and feeding time. I am a little hesitant about people and my listening skills are also in training but I will learn everything that I need to with routine, acceptance and love.

I am totally in my chewing phase right now - prepare to puppy proof your house. I also am still a little pup so I have ADD and need lots of things to keep me busy.  The great news is I go from 69 mph to zero in no time. I will plop down on the ground mid run and take a nap.

I cry when I’m put in my kennel but I settle down after about 10-15 minutes and then I’m a very good boy in it and sleep in it at night and I haven’t had any messes. When I’m excited, I get vocal, and my voice is piercing, so shared walls might not be such a great idea. Potty training is going pretty good. I’m on a schedule but I have been known to piddle on my way to and from the door, because I get so excited, so as a precaution my foster mom and dad keep a belly band on me. I am in desperate need of a grooming session so if you’re thinking of adopting me, call a groomer the day that I come home or after my meet and greet so I don’t have to wait weeks and weeks to get in, although I’m so cute as a super fuzzy dude and resemble a little ginger honey bear with all my fur right now.

I am great with other dogs as long as they aren’t super big and burly. I am learning boundaries because I have none currently with the senior resident dogs and they correct me - a lot - which is a little intimidating sometimes. I would adore a calm and sweet fur sibling. In fact I am a bonder, so I will definitely cuddle right up with a sister or brother in a shared doggie bed or on a pillow.

I hate the leash. I absolutely hate it. I will need very slow introductions to it and tons of training. This will take some creativity, because I am not particularly treat motivated. I do really well following you to go outside or you can pick me up and take me there. I adore the big fenced yard my foster parents currently have and would frolic in it all day long if I could, so I would really love it if I could have a private safe yard at my Furever home, but it’s not a deal breaker.

I haven’t been tested on kitties and children. I am a really curious and happy guy so my foster parents think I would do fine with cats. I have not displayed any prey drive tendencies so far, even though poodles are known to be hunters. I also haven’t displayed any alpha male traits, I prefer going with the flow and following the leader. I have been on a few short car rides and they went great, no car sickness and I snuggled right up in the backseat.

Kids will need slow introductions and have to be calm and understanding of my boundaries because even though I’m super cute and cuddly, I’m also squirmy and goofy and need my own space to decompress.

If you have researched toy poodles I am a wonderful one. I just need patience, training, and routine. I was a breeder release so I am animal socialized but not human socialized. If you have time and love to allow me to adjust to this wonderful world of being a little fur prince, I will be the very best and sweetest addition to your family. Will you be mine?
