Hershey is an adorable light brown male Shepherd mix pup with dark brown on his back side and muzzle.  He is a very sweet puppy, with excellent manners.  He was born July 23, 2023.

Hershey is calm and cuddly.  He loves to play with his brother, but only in small spurts.  He’s content to sit and watch the other dogs in his foster play, joining in once in a while.  He likes to explore on his own sometimes, and loves to follow the humans around (and his favorite lab, who he tries to be near as much as possible).
He has been exposed to several other dogs of varying sizes and does very well with all of them.  He also does well with cats in the home.  Hershey takes cues from other dogs and won’t push his limits if they aren’t interested. 

We have noticed that Hershey and his brother are doing very well with potty training.  They are not yet fully trained, of course, but they keep their area very clean and haven’t had many accidents in the house compared to other puppies we have fostered.  We are working with them daily.  Once they are old enough, we think they will train very quickly!

This sweet little snuggler would do great as an only dog, but would do well with other pets too.  If you are looking for a mellow but playful, sweet and smart pup, Hershey is your boy!

We are 100% volunteer based, so on occasion it could take more than the standard 24 hours.
