Sashimi is a Lhasa Apso x Poodle puppy born 6/2/23. He has a gorgeous silky white coat that is as soft as silk. He has lived his entire life in a pen and is still quite apprehensive in new situations. Since joining his foster family, he has grown a little more confident each day.  He will allow humans to pick him up, but each time he needs encouragement to relax and understand that he is safe. Once he is feeling comfortable, he loves to run and play with the other small dogs in the home. He is understandably unsure of larger dogs, so he keeps his distance.

We have been keeping Sashimi in a pen with another puppy that he has become close with. He has been crated as well and doesn’t seem to mind it at all.  He sleeps well through the night.  He is using puppy pads most of the time and has not shown readiness for potty training yet.

Sashimi will growl if scared, but has never shown any signs of aggression.  He loves to watch other dogs and will occasionally muster the courage to follow along. It’s truly a joy to watch him learn and grow with them. Sashi is a beautiful, sweet pup who just needs a little love, patience and a family of his own. 

We are 100% volunteer based, so on occasion it could take more than the standard 24 hours.
