Hi everyone! My name is Savage (Hitch) and I am a mini-poodle born 1/15/23, weighing approximately 8-10 pounds. When I originally came to my foster house, I had to be carried in and out to go potty because I wasn’t comfortable with stairs or crossing thresholds but I’ve made great progress and do all those things on my own now!  My foster family has been working with me very diligently on potty and kennel training; but I am still struggling in those areas. My adoptive family will need to be one that has the time and patience to work with me consistently so that I can be the best boy possible! I walk well on a leash when guided and love sleeping with the resident humans. Couch snuggles are a favorite of mine as well, and I’ve done a very good job of protecting my foster family from the mailman (and any other noises, really!) by barking to alert them. After a minute or two, I tend to calm down, so my foster Mom says shared walls may not be best for my new home.  

I am friendly with kids, and other dogs, though large dogs are a little scary. I can’t wait to go to my new home! 

Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $850.00

We are 100% volunteer based, so on occasion it could take more than the standard 24 hours.
