Gary is a happy, playful Shih Tzu born approximately 4/23/22. He currently weighs about 14 pounds, loves to wag his tail and play with his toys. He does not chew on things he shouldn’t. He is a quick learner and was already walking nicely on a leash within one week.  He likes the sound of the rustling of leaves under his feet and checking out all of the smells that Autumn weather brings.  He loves to look out the window and see what’s going on even if nothing is going on he patiently waits and watches.  This is probably his first window office and he is relishing it.  Gary came from Missouri and is a breeder release who is ready to live his best life.  He currently has two small dogs he lives with in his foster home and he gets along well with them. If they bark at something then he joins in but generally does not initiate any barking. He is an inquisitive puppy and likes to sniff at the other dogs he lives with.  If this annoys them, they are quick to tell him to back off but that doesn’t bother him.  He just gives them a look like whatever dude and trots away.  Gary doesn’t like to be in his kennel.  He likes to sleep on the bed near you at night or nap in his dog bed by the window.  He goes potty outside on a schedule but is still a little nervous and will have a bit of piddle if he gets too excited or easily startled.  We are working on this.  He hasn’t been around cats or kids, but so far hasn’t shown any aggression towards anything.  If he sees another dog while out on a walk he just stops and stares out of curiosity.  Gary is a good eater, but doesn’t seem to recognize any dog treats, except turkey deli meat – now that is a treat he is game for!  He takes it nicely out of my hand.  Gary is cute as a button!

Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, dental, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $850.00
