Hi, I’m Flurry! I am a 4 year old, 18-19 pound terrier mix. My foster mom said I am going to be a fantastic dog for someone because I am very well potty and kennel trained, love whoever I am with and love to play and snuggle. When I go into my kennel, I lay down and am very quiet even when I have been left alone for up to 5 hours or go to bed. I love going on walks to help burn off my excess energy and when we go we are working on not pulling on the leash and stopping and sitting at intersections until she says I can go.  I like it when my foster mom hangs out with me but I am good at laying down and resting when she is working or busy (about 8-9 hours). At home, I am working on commands to learn how to get down, not jump on people, sit, lay down and knowing what I can and can’t chew on. Once in a while I have chewed on something I wasn’t supposed to. I came here from Mexico and we are not sure about what language or commands I previously understood, so we are learning what everything means from scratch, but I am smart and catching on quickly. I love praise and am not treat motivated. I like to go for car rides, and I sit very well in the seat or lay down in my kennel and don’t make a noise.

I have met a few other dogs and people. I am very sociable and warmed up to them quickly. I have not met any kids yet so we don’t know how I would react to them. Not much gets me excited, but I like to bark at the squirrels outside the window. Otherwise, the only time I bark is when I am playing.

If I were living my ideal life, I would have a fur buddy to play with to help burn off my extra energy and a fenced yard so I can run around and play. I would love to have a spot on the couch next to you when you are relaxing and spend time with you hanging out and playing. I do love a good chew toy and squeaky toys really grab my attention. Let’s face it, I’d love to sleep in the bed with you too, but it takes me a little while to settle down because I get so excited I’d want to keep licking you and climbing on you. So for now, I sleep quietly in my kennel.

If you are an active person or family, I hope you consider adopting me. I really would like to find my furever home!
