Springer Spaniel / Mixed (short coat) : : Female : : Young : : Large
Hi, I'm Basmati! Everyone calls me Boz for short. I'm a female springer spaniel/boxer mix, and boy do I "spring!"
My foster parents joke that I'm part kangaroo because
I have long legs and I love to gallop around the yard.
I was born approximately 07/11/23 and I was found with my siblings on a farm all the way out in Kentucky. I weigh 32lbs as of my most recent visit to the vet.
I currently live with 2 cats and get along very well with both of them. I like to "box" with my orange tabby brother, and I respectfully leave my sister kitty alone.
I also live with an 11 year old
dachshund
who has taught me so much about how to be a good dog. I'm still learning about boundaries and personal space and I need to be reminded to calm down sometimes.
I am potty-trained and crate-trained. I don't put up a fuss when it's time to be kenneled. I will let you know if I need to go outside by whining at the door.
I'm still a puppy, and as such I can be quite a "chew-er..." If you find something in my mouth that shouldn't be there, I will listen when you say "drop it" or "leave it."
I am NOT an alpha dog by any means! I forget to share sometimes, but I've never been aggressive. I have been introduced to several other dogs and I've played well with them.
I am still getting used to being on a leash for walks. I'm easily distracted outside and sometimes lose focus, but I'm really smart and I know that I will get better with practice!
Some things that make me extra special: I have short hair and I barely shed, so you won't have to worry about sweeping up after me every day. My coat is glossy and beautiful and I'm not stinky! The cutest thing of all though is my underbite. All the humans think it's adorable! I am a TOTAL snuggler and I love giving kisses.
My 3 siblings have all been adopted...but I'm still waiting for my furever family. Could it be you??
