Update 1/16/24: I am doing better with foster mom brushing me, trimming my hair and when my foster mom pets me. I'm doing well with eating and my foster mom has found I eat better when she sits on the futon to feed me. I am working on the whole leash thing but haven't succeeded quite yet. I've had a couple visits with other dogs and their parents the past two weekends. I do well with other dogs but still get nervous and shake around new humans. I settle down after 15-20 minutes.
Hi, my name is Willow Sand. I’m a Great Pyrenees born approximately 11/19/20. I have been with my foster mom and dad since I was captured on November 16th. I was on the run for just over a month. I am very timid, scared and just trying to understand this new way of life. Foster mom and dad have been working on just letting me know that petting is okay and they are not going to hurt me. They have been introducing the leash to me however if they encourage me to get up with it on, I start bucking in the air. I am using potty pads in their home since I do not want to use the leash at this time to go potty outside. As foster mom says, we take this hour by hour and day by day.
Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $475.00
