Meet Honey! AKA “Bunches”
This sweet, spotted 1-2 year old girl (best guess) is the biggest snuggle bug and wants nothing more than to be your best friend.
Honey was found running on a highway in rural Missouri during a road trip home to Minnesota. She jumped right into her rescuers arms and never looked back. No Dog Left Behind came to the rescue to give the sweet girl a chance of finding a forever home.
Honey absolutely loves to lay next to you or even better on you. Her favorite activity of the day is to sprawl out on your lap on the couch and snore. This girl takes cuddling to a whole new level.
Honey also absolutely loves food. She is learning the command  “off” when we are eating or there is food on the counter. She is learning quickly but sometimes is still kenneled during our meal times.  Because she will jump if somebody is holding food, she may do better in a home with older kids who won’t get knocked over. She is super friendly with all people and kids and does not jump when meeting people on walks and instead will just lay down. She is very calm with greeting new people, but is very excited by food.
Honey is kennel trained and sleeps downstairs in her kennel all night without any whining or barking. She is potty trained, and never had an accident and is mostly house trained aside from jumping up on the counters to see if the food looks good.
Honey is learning to walk on a leash and does not pull. She is curious about other dogs and may bark, but is mostly quiet and observant and likes to sit and watch other dogs go by. Honey has been friendly with other dogs depending on the situation. She was very friendly with several dogs at the vet and has also given appropriate corrections to a misbehaving dog at the rescue. She rarely barks and prefers just nap all day.
Car rides are a bit of a challenge because she wants to lay on your lap while you were driving.
Honey is a very low energy dog who would do well in an apartment or a home without a fenced yard. She is very happy to just go on one or two short walks a day.
If you are looking for a dog that will sleep next to you all day and just wants snuggles and scratches this is your girl!
