If you are looking for a loyal companion, Eddie is your guy!  Eddie is a sweet terrier mix born 3/28/21 and came here all the way from Mexico. He is a very calm and friendly dog and loves nothing better than snuggling up next to you on the couch for a good nap. He loves to play with his toys and have his back scratched. 

Eddie has been with us only a few days but has warmed right up to everyone in the family, including our two resident dogs and cat. We have had him around our grandkids and he did great. He did initially try to chase the cat but now pretty much ignores her. With proper introduction he should do fine with a cat. He does understandably have a little resource guarding (growling if a dog comes near his food) so we feed him separately from the other dogs. 

He has had very little training, so we are working on the basics.  By the second day with us he learned to take his treat to his bed and lie down to enjoy it and now does that every time. His recall in the house is pretty good.  He walks nicely on a leash and does not pull at all. He also rides very well in the car and just lays quietly in his carseat. 

Eddie has not had any accidents in the house although he does try to mark, possibly due to our other male dog marking in the past.  For this reason he wears a belly band while in the house. This has worked great and given him more freedom to roam around the house. He does not need it in his kennel.  He has been neutered. 

He sleeps in his kennel all night in our room with no complaints. He does not like to be in his kennel during the day but will settle down after a short time. We work from home and have not needed to kennel him for very long during the day, most of the day he is napping by my side.

Eddie may be a little more work but he is super smart and so worth it! You won’t find a nicer little buddy to hang out with.

We are 100% volunteer based, so on occasion it could take more than the standard 24 hours.
