Jenny is a mini Aussie born 4/17/21.   I also call her JJ and Jen Jen.   Jenny is still working on potty training. She doesn’t let you know when she has to go. She does use a reusable pee pad, when she does have to go. She will chew up the disposable ones. She is kennel trained and does great. The longest I’ve had her kenneled is 12 hours and she hasn’t had an accident when in her kennel. She is still getting used to my 6 year old, so I would say older kids would be best. She has been great with the other dogs she’s met. She is good with my cat although she can play rough but she redirects well.    She does good on the leash and is now great in the car. She likes putting her head out the window.  She has a high energy level so a fenced in yard would be best. She is extremely fast and hard to catch. She does have a good recall. She’s still cautious and skittish with new people.   It took her 6-8 weeks for her to trust me and can still be skittish with me. She will paw and bark at you to get your attention. She will also let you cuddle with her.   She is making progress everyday. She is not kenneled at night and I allow her to sleep in my bed. If you kennel her while you’re home she will bark and paw at her kennel door. Once she trusts you she’ll be your best friend and protector.
