Hi, I'm Toby but you may as well call me Toblerone because I'm as sweet as can be! I'm pug shaped with a long wiry coat, and don't let my grumpy expression foul you, I'm a very nice boy.

Yes, I only have one eye. My lack of an eye doesn't bother me much. Occasionally I will bump into my foster mom or furniture, but it doesn't slow me down! I jump on furniture and go up and down stairs with ease.

I am a lap dog through and through. My favorite activities are snuggling and lots of belly rubs. I love my foster family and am very affectionate with them. I sometimes bark at people who are strange to me but once I know they are friends I warm up to them. I’m a little terrier guy so I do bark at the fence and strange noises (including thunder). I’m not an excessive barker though! However, I have a variety of gruffs and snorts that I like to express myself with. I am not loud, but I should warn you that I do snore very loudly but my foster family finds it very endearing.

I live with two small dogs and have been around medium sized dogs. I don't play with other dogs much but I am comfortable around them. I have begun showing interest in toys and I play very gently with them. I am not a “destroyer” and have not had any issues with chewing. I haven't met a cat up close but I do bark at a neighborhood outside cat. I haven't experienced many children but due to my small size, it would be best that I was in a home with children who can respect that I am not a toy.

I've been working on basic training and I'm decent at "sit." Every walk I get better on the leash but I do have a tendency to pull because I get very excited! I have worked hard on my potty training and I have started asking to go out when I need to potty. I have a tendency to mark in new places but with a consistent schedule and a little patience I do great!

I relax comfortably in my crate or in a car seat when riding in the car. I stay in my crate when my foster family leaves but typically not for more than 4 hours at a time. I don’t like the crate very much but I protest for about 5-10 min. I hate sleeping in the crate so I sleep all night in my foster mom's bed. I do not have any overnight accidents.

You could say I'm a bit of an old soul trapped in a young spry body. It may just be that I look like and snore like a grumpy old man. But, I have a lot of love to give, and I can't wait to meet my family!
