Tonka is a purebred golden retriever, born approximately 03/24/2024. He is a big boy weighing in around 24 pounds. He is such a sweet boy who is learning what life is like outside of a kennel! We are currently working on house training, learning his name, sit command, walking on a leash, and that rugs are NOT toys. Tonka does very well with the resident dogs, and has very much stayed by my 9 year old golden retriever since they met. He also plays with and enjoys my younger kids (9 & 12yrs old)

Things Tonka likes: treats, kids, dogs, swimming, toys, car rides, and most of all having an older confident dog by his side, or being next to his people

He seems to dislike loud noises, vacuums and fast movement. We are taking our time and working on introducing him to all things new.

Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $850.00

We are 100% volunteer based, so on occasion it could take more than the standard 24 hours.
