Hi, my name is Rita. I’m a mini Aussie that came in from a breeder release. Everything regarding living in a home and living with humans is brand new to me. I really enjoy other dogs and would do significantly better in a home with them. I want to be out and about. I don’t hide unless a human is coming my direction. But if they walk away, I’m willing to follow them! Which basically means I have the desire to get to know them. I’m just not fully sure I’m safe yet. Don’t worry no matter how afraid I am, I will not bite!!! I’m just very submissive and will try to hide against a wall or solid surface. Despite these fears, I handle a busy household with children relatively well. Yes it’s more people for me to run away from but the typical family chaos isn’t any more terrifying. I would just need children who are old enough to understand not to chase me around, or adults prepared to parent until the children learn. I am not potty trained… it’s hard to learn how to do things when people are scary… but I like to be outside. Being on a leash is best so that I can be brought in. Being loose in a fenced yard is harder because humans would have to chase me to get me in… and that’s not good for our trust. I love doggie beds… can I pretty please have one? I am really really sweet and even though I’m afraid I’m beyond sweet and worth the wait.
