Hi, I am Bunny, a lab born roughly 9/21/21!  My foster mom says I'm a gem.  Apparently, I am also a “very good boy”.

Bunny is the name that my previous owner gave me. After they passed away, I didn't have anywhere to go and I ended up at the pound. I was on the list that shall not be named. My foster family thinks my name fits me because I bounce around happily quite often. I'm learning I don't need to be nervous or skittish around my foster family or new people, but am getting used to being in a home again. They say I'm making quick strides! I know how to sit and lie down, and I am house-trained, too!

I did fine in the car on my way home but was very nervous. Being nervous may very well change after I'm feeling more secure consistently. I think I will someday enjoy adventures. They sound fun!

I am also good in my kennel after some initial whining. I sleep in my foster parent's room in the kennel. This works well for me because I'm scared that someone isn't going to come back for me. But it has been helpful for me to have other dogs that will reassure me that it is okay and that my people are going to come back.

Speaking of other dogs, I am very dog-friendly. I have not shown any reactive behaviors. I do give a warning snarl if another dog tries to mount me. After that has been tried a few times, that dog is no longer sanctioned to try to be by me because I don't think they belong in my bubble. You could say that I'm good at setting boundaries.

On the topic of boundaries…I like to be near my people. Like, very near. I like to lean into my foster mom and put my head on her chest. I'm a very snuggly boy. I am so thankful to be alive and with a loving family and just want to thank them for it any chance I can.
I have learned to snuggle with my furry foster siblings and have come out of my shell to play with them!

My human foster siblings make me a little nervous when they come in my direction quickly, but they're also fun to snuggle and lick. Sometimes I get nervous and run because I don't know if they are going to be respectful of my space.

My foster family thinks I will do best in a home with other dogs, as the ones at my foster home really have helped me and keep showing me new ways to be confident.

If all of this seems like we'd still be a good match of loving each other forever, please consider meeting me and giving me pats!
